Community

We actively support a wide range of community support projects and activities at InSync; from corporate giving to employee volunteerism. Our goal is to take responsibility for our actions and to encourage a positive impact on our clients, our employees, and the communities where we live. We also support connecting our team members with the charities they are passionate about.

The Wilder Institute / Calgary Zoo

Community

One of InSync’s many community support initiatives took place in 2013, when devastating floods swept through downtown Calgary and caused over $50 million in damage to the Zoo’s buildings and infrastructure. The disaster also wiped-out vital conservation research and rehabilitation programs, with revenue losses reaching $160,000 per day, totaling an anticipated $10 million. To help the Zoo rebuild and restore its important conservation efforts, InSync hosted a fundraiser gala. Since then, we have continued our support by donating animal enrichment toys and contributing to educational programs.

Calgary and Area Child Advocacy Centre

Community

InSync has also been a proud supporter of the Calgary and Area Child Advocacy Centre (formerly the Sheldon Kennedy Centre).  This foundation’s goal is to empower individuals impacted by child abuse to lead healthy and productive lives by creating a community that responds collectively to child abuse.  InSync has been a longtime contributor to this outstanding cause.

Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer

Community

In addition, InSync is proud to sponsor many of our consultants, and to provide a direct donation to the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer.  This two-day bike ride covers more than 200 kilometers to raise funds for cancer research.

We honour the sacred land where the Bow and Elbow Rivers meet - a place known to the Blackfoot people as "Mohkinstsis," now called Calgary. We recognize this as the traditional territory of the Treaty 7 Nations: the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani of the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Îyâxe Nakoda, and the Tsuut'ina Nation, as well as Region 3 of the Métis Nation of Alberta. We are grateful to live, work, and create on this land, and we honour the traditions, stories, and stewardship of its first peoples.
